About Bremen United Methodist Church

Our first building was called Wesley Chapel.  Built in the early 1800s, it was located on the ground now known as Grandview Cemetery.  In 1854, a new building was erected on North Broad Street, opposite of the present American Legion.  Our current church was built in 1900, and dedicated on May 19th, 1901.  In 1973 a carillon was installed to share religious music with those in our village.  An addition completed in 2006 included a handicap entrance and elevator, making Bremen Community Methodist Church accessible to everyone.  Our most recent major project was the completion of our paved parking lot in 2019.  The Victorian architecture and stained-glass windows of Bremen Community Methodist Church make it a well-known landmark in the village of Bremen.
